About Us
My name is Alice and I am the creator behind Amelia Wilde Jewelry.
Growing up, my big exposure to jewelry was built from exploring my grandmother's jewelry boxes. Packed full of fantastic pieces, classic and understated mixed with bold statement pieces, nothing was really off limits when styled properly. I learned at a young age that jewelry was meant to enhance the outfit, to provide the final piece to tie everything together.
The fascination with those jewelry boxes came back to me during the pandemic and the stay at home orders. I was in need of a creative outlet to take my mind off the chaos in the world and I began making jewelry for family and friends. First it was resin earrings, but as I began to expand into other styles of pieces and with the encouragement of those same family and friends I began to contemplate the idea of starting my own business.
At the beginning of this endeavor, my first thought was what sort of people would want to buy the pieces I made. When I envision just who Amelia Wilde would be if she were real, she's a free spirited sort who isn't tied down by things like labels or fast moving trends. I see a jewelry box full of a wide variety of pieces, none fitting into a single category but each leaving a mark on her -- the perfect way to finish every outfit for any occasion.
What I take pride in with my jewelry is the reclaimed parts that are used to make each individual piece. Determined to leave my footprint as small as possible and create sustainable jewelry, I source things such as my chains or the beads and charms from well worn jewelry. The pieces I create are simple in design due to the challenges of working with hand tremors, but each one is unique in both composition and inspiration.
Whether you are looking for a special gift for someone close to you or a little something for yourself, I hope you find a little piece of Amelia Wilde while you're here. The perfect way to finish every outfit for any occasion.
